Rajinikanth’s 165th Film - Petta

On a milestone occasion, Sun Productions released the title and motion poster of Rajinikanth’s new film to commemorate his milestone. The motion poster within a couple of hours time sent tweeters going bezirke.

The motion poster went viral both on Facebook and twitter hitting views close to nearly 5,00,000 people. Petta is a trend setter right from the get go. It was the most retweeted post precisely #1 in India and one of the most tweeted globally.

Karthik Subbaraj is the director of the movie who has 5 movies under his belt and Petta with Rajinikanth will be his 6th. Another interesting figure that is reported to be casted is Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

This was a dream come true project to have a star studded line-up along with a great set and team around him. Other stars include Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran and Bobby Simha.

Petta is made for the thalaivar fans as the motion poster is all about the rugged style in Rajinikanth.

The film is set to release in the summer of 2019 while the latest instalment of Rajinikanth’s work will be 2.0 which is upcoming to the theatres as one of the most expensive movies in Indian Cinema history.
