Rajinikanth Offers Candid Thoughts on 'Jailer' at Success Meet, Credits Anirudh's Music for Enhancing the Film: 'It Was Average...'

Rajinikanth's Jailer, which hit theaters on August 10, swiftly climbed the ranks to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time, shattering numerous box office records along the way. In celebration of the movie's success, the Jailer cast and crew recently gathered for an event. According to a report by Galatta.com, during his speech, Rajinikanth expressed that he initially viewed the film as 'average' before the re-recording process. He credited Anirudh Ravichander's music for transforming the movie into a blockbuster.

Rajinikanth acknowledged Anirudh's pivotal role in the film's success by stating, "I watched the film first without the re-recording. I then asked Sembian sir and Kannan sir about their opinions on the film. Kannan was all praise. I told him, 'Nelson is your friend, and you will obviously appreciate him.' I then asked Sembian, and he said the film was average. But, the film before the re-recording was done, was average to me too. However, the manner in which Anirudh lifted the film was, 'My God.' He transformed Jailer almost like a bride-to-be after makeup. Superb," as reported by Galatta.com.

The veteran actor also extended his appreciation to the talented technicians behind Jailer, with special mention of cinematographer Kartik, whose contributions he didn't anticipate would have such a significant impact on the film. Rajinikanth praised editor Nirmal for taking the film and enhancing it to a superb level.
