'Ponniyin Selvan 2' to release on April 28

Ponniyin Selvan's historical drama has been made in two parts, while the second part is slated to release on April 28 following the success of the first part which was released in September 2022. The makers of 'Ponniyin Selvan' have unveiled a glimpse of the film and confirmed that the film is releasing on April 28.
The leading stars of 'Ponniyin Selvan', Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, and Karthi speak about their respective characters in the new glimpse, while Jayam Ravi reveals the plot of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. The story of the sequel is about parents who desire to know whether their son (Ponniyin Selvan) is alive or not.
The audio launch of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' will be reportedly held in Chennai on April 5, and the makers have planned a grand promotional tour with lead actors to build the buzz for the film. AR Rahman is scoring the music, and the sequel is expected to have fewer songs as the composer focuses more on the theme track.
