Master Teaser: Thalapathy's Vijay creates new record with fastest 2 million likes

The teaser of Vijay's upcoming film Master, which released on Diwali (November 14), has been creating back-to-back records on YouTube. Today, the teaser has managed to hit 2 million likes on the video-sharing platform and is still going strong. Vijay's ardent fans are celebrating the occasion by trending the hashtag #MasterTeaserHits2MLikes on Twitter. A special poster indicating the same has been doing the rounds on social media.

Master teaser was a perfect Diwali gift to Vijay's fans from director Lokesh Kanagaraj and team. The teaser released amid much fanfare at 6 pm on November 14. On the same day, the teaser was screened at selected theatres in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

On November 15, the film's production house, XB Film Creators, announced that Master teaser becomes the most-liked teaser in India with 1.6 million likes. Hours later, the teaser achieved another milestone by garnering a whopping 2 million likes on Youtube. 

The Master team released a new poster to celebrate the big achievement.

The teaser of Master has set high expectations for the film. Now, reports are rife that Master might release in theatres on Pongal 2021. Distributor Lalith Kumar of Seven Screen Studios, in an interview, revealed that they're yet to finalise the release date.

Directed Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das in prominent roles. The film's technical crew comprises composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and editor Philomin Raj.
