More than 10 Tamil films, including Vijay's Master have resumed the post-production work from today
Tamil Nadu Government recently announced that the Tamil film industry can resume the post-production work from May 11, after many wrote to the government seeking permission to resume work on projects that have completed shooting.
Following this, more than 10 Tamil films including Vijay's much-awaited film, Master, have begun the post-production work from today (May 12). RK Selvamani, the president of FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) has released an official statement mentioning details about the films, which are resuming the production work during the lockdown.
Vijay's friend, actor Sanjeev, was one of the firsts to reveal it on social media that the Master team will resume post-production. The editing work of the film has begun at a studio in Chennai with the necessary safety precautions in place. The technical crew has been advised to wear masks and follow social-distancing.
They have also been asked to disinfect the studio every day. Sources say that the director of the film, Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Vijay are planning to announce the release date by the end of this month.
Fans of the actor are quite excited about the progress of the film and have been eagerly waiting for the film's trailer. However, the makers are planning to release the trailer only after the lockdown ends.
Recently, there were speculations that the makers of Master are planning to release the film on the OTT platform. However, they denied it as baseless rumors.
Master was earlier supposed to release on April 9. It was postponed due to Covid-19 outbreak. In the film, Vijay will be playing the role of a college professor. Master also features Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das and Gouri Kishan in pivotal roles.
