Director Mani Ratnam is all set to deliver the historical drama 'Ponniyin Selvan', which is based on the novel written by Kalki.
After several stars failed to make the film, Mani Ratnam made the film based on the popular novel which explains the history of Cholas, and the film is to be released in two parts. Now, his 'Ponniyin Selvan' first part is slated to release on September 30th in five languages, and the film is set for a grand takeoff.
The final work for the film is on, and the director is said to have made the final copy of the film. The runtime of the film is said to be 2 hours and 50 minutes, which is less than several biggies that released earlier this year. Seems like Mani Ratnam has made a short and crispy first part to get the fans deeper into the film's second part. However, fans are eagerly waiting for the film's release, and they hope to see the history of Cholas on big screens.
'Ponniyin Selvan' audio and trailer are planned to be launched grandly in Chennai in September, while Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are expected to be the chief guests for the event. The lead stars of 'Ponniyin Selvan', Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, and Prakash Raj among others will be traveling across the globe post the audio launch to promote the historic film among fans across regions.
