If you thought the only atrocious act that took place in Tuticorin was the shooting, well that's not it.
The police has filed an FIR against the Actor-cum-Politician Kamal Hassan. Reports say that the Thootukudi police has filed a FIR against Kamal Haasan for breaching the prohibitory orders (Section 144 of CrPC).
Section 144 is a legal term relating to Unlawful Assembly. This prohibits the assembly of four or more persons in an area. Here Thoothukudi has been officially sited as the area under this section of the law.
As the Tuticorin protests have been taking place for more than 100 days now, the last 3 days were the most eventful with horrific headlines. Many actors have come up and raised their voices against the government and police.
Vishal, tamil actor had this to say against the accusation of Kamal Hassan for his act:
Am I hearing something bizarre. FIR on @ikamalhaasan sir??? For meeting the innocent affected ppl of Tuticorin. Wat the hell. If this is true. It is nothin but an act of sheer atrocity.if an actor /politician/socially responsible person can't go der. Den who can???god save us.
