'Kadaram Kondan' Trailer: Chiyaan Vikram in a villainous avatar.

The trailer begins with a pregnant Akshara Haasan sharing an intimate moment with Abi Hassan, who plays her on-screen husband. The scene, at once, shifts to a house invasion situation where Vasu (Hassan's character) is abducted by Vikram, who is only addressed by his initials KK. 

After a minute of mind-blowing action sequences set in Malaysia, Vikram is revealed as a mercenary and a former paramilitary commando of Indian descent. What has he to do with Vasu, and why he wreaks destruction over Malaysia would likely form the rest of the story.

The trailer shows Vikram in a never-seen-before villainous avatar who seems to be taking vengeance against Abi Hassan and people around him.

The trailer was launched at an event, which was attended by actors Vikram, Akshara Haasan, Kamal Haasan, Lena and Abi Hassan among others.

Kadaram Kondan, directed by Rajesh M. Selva of Thoongavanam fame, is produced by Kamal Haasan's production company Raaj Kamal Films International, and it is the firm's 45th production venture. The event also had an in-memoriam segment for the late ‘Crazy’ Mohan and S. Chandrahaasan.

Ghibran has composed the music for the film which was originally written for Kamal Haasan but as the actor got busy with politics, he preferred Vikram to play his role.

The film is likely to hit the screens on July 19.
