Ilaiyaraaja's biopic launched! First look featuring Dhanush revealed.

Dhanush is expected to portray Ilaiyaraaja, under the direction of Arun Matheswaran. The film is a collaboration between Connekkt Media and Mercuri Movies, set to commence shooting in 2024 and release in 2025.

This marks Dhanush's second collaboration with Arun Matheswaran after 'Captain Miller.' Dhanush and Ilaiyaraaja have a longstanding history of collaboration, with the musician having composed music for Dhanush's 'Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam,' directed by the late Balu Mahendra. Dhanush also contributed vocals to the 'Onnoda Nadandhaa' track in Ilaiyaraaja's 'Viduthalai - Part 1' album.

Recently, Dhanush and Ilaiyaraaja unveiled the film's poster in Chennai, accompanied by Kamal Haasan, showcasing Dhanush in a retro look.

Apart from the biopic, Dhanush is engaged in several projects, including Kubera with Sekhar Kammula, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Rashmika Mandanna, and two directorial ventures, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam and Raayan.
