Eeswaran Motion Poster: Simbu is back

On the occasion of Vijayadashami, STR unveiled the first-look poster of his 46th film Eeswaran and fans couldn't contain the excitement. Last month, reports surfaced on social media that STR will be teaming up with director Suseenthiran for his 46th film and Nidhhi Agerwal has been finalised as the female lead. On October 23, STR announced the project on Twitter and revealed that the first-look poster will be out on Vijayadashami.

Today (October 26), the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya star took to social media to release the poster and said the film will hit the screens on Pongal 2021. He wrote, "#Eeswaran #SilambarasanTR #ThaandavaPongal2021 (sic)."

The first-look poster featured STR in a village avatar holding a snake in his hand. STR has shed a lot of weight for the film and it's quite evident from the poster. Produced by Madhav Media in association with D Company, the film is touted to be rural entertainer and major portions of it will be shot in outskirts of Chennai. 

Nandita Swetha, who was last seen in Taana has been roped in to play an important role in the film. While S Thaman will be composing music for it, Thirunavukkarasu handles the camera. Simbu was last seen in a short film titled, Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn, directed by Gautham Menon. 

It is also worth mentioning that Simbu made a grand re-entry on social media platforms last week. He shared a special video which documents his physical transformation in the last few months. The actor is currently waiting to resume the shoot of Venkat Prabhu's Maanadu, which features Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead.
