The film is directed by Kartik Subbaraj.

Actor Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram is set to debut on June 18 on Netflix India, will currently be accessible to stream in 190 nations in 17 dialects.

This incorporates French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish (Castilian and Neutral), Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese notwithstanding Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English. The declaration came by means of a banner delivered via web-based media by the film's creation house on June 15.

The film marks the first collaboration of Kartik Subbaraj and Dhanush.  The film also has Aishwarya Lekshmi, Game of Thrones actor James Cosmo, Sanchana Natarajan, Joju George, and Kalaiyarasan in lead roles. Dhanush’s character is named Suruli and the trailer has already garnered a good response from fans.

The actor in the past has communicated his discontent over the film's maker choosing to deliver the film on an OTT stage. A brief spat resulted via online media when Dhanush communicated his desire to see the film discharge in theatres, while the maker had made his choice previously understood. Jagame Thandhiram was planned to hit the enormous screens last year, yet this was postponed because of the pandemic.

In any case, during a Twitter Spaces connection, on the day the movie's sound was dispatched, facilitated by professional comic Alexander Babu in which the movie's chief Karthik Subbaraj, entertainer Dhanush, writer Santhosh Narayanan, alongside others, taken part, the chief said that with the assistance of over-the-top or OTT stages like Netflix, the creators have enlarged the market for the film and that they were getting foothold from across the globe.

Dhanush, in the interim, was most recently seen in Mari Selvaraj's Karnan that was delivered in venues first. Following its prosperity, the chief and the entertainer reported that they will work together by and by. Among the large number of movies the entertainer's chipping away at is the Hollywood film named The Gray Man, in which he will be co-featuring with Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, and Julia Butters.
