Crime drama Dosa King to be helmed by director TJ Gnanavel

Directed by TJ GnanavelTJ Gnanavel, the movie will chronicle the rise and fall of Rajagopal's restaurant empire and his clash with Jeevajothi, which led to a landmark conviction in Tamil Nadu after an 18-year legal battle.

The story revolves around Rajagopal, known as the "Dosa King," who built a globally renowned restaurant chain but became embroiled in a shocking crime. Jeevajothi’s brave fight for justice against the powerful mogul forms the crux of the narrative. Gnanavel is known for his previous critically-acclaimed work, Jai Bhim, and has teamed up with Hemanth Rao, a noted writer and director from Kannada cinema, to co-write the screenplay for Dosa King.

The film promises to delve into the crime and thriller aspects of this real-life saga, portraying ambition, power, and justice on a grand cinematic scale. The production house, Junglee Pictures, has acquired the exclusive life rights to Jeevajothi’s story to ensure an authentic and in-depth portrayal. Casting for the lead roles and the film's production will begin soon.
