Chiyaan Vikram-starrer 'Thangalaan' promises a compelling historical action drama

One of the most anticipated films of the year is the Chiyaan Vikram-starrer Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith. With the film gearing up for release soon, the makers have now released the trailer of this historical action drama.
The upcoming movie also features Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Pasupathy Masilamani in significant roles. Sharing the trailer, director Pa Ranjith quoted a dialogue from the film: "Only those who dare to die, get to live out here."
Interestingly, English actor Daniel Caltagirone, known for his roles in films like Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and The Pianist, is playing an important role in Thangalaan.
Produced by Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner, the story of Thangalaan is said to be based on a real event that occurred at the Kolar Gold Factory in Karnataka during British rule. According to reports, the film is set to hit theatres on August 15.
