Amazon Prime Video Secures Digital Rights of Suriya's 'Kanguva' for a Massive Rs 80 Crore Deal

Suriya-starrer highly anticipated pan-India film, previously known as Suriya 42, now titled "Kanguva," has garnered immense excitement among fans. The historical fiction movie features Disha Patani as the female lead.

Recently, it was revealed that the digital rights for the South Indian languages of the Siva-directed film have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a staggering amount of Rs 80 crore. K.E. Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, the film's producer, disclosed this information during an interview, also mentioning that the teaser for "Kanguva" is set to be released in June. The film, set to release in early 2024, showcases Suriya in five distinct roles and will be presented in ten languages across India in 2D and 3D formats. Prior to that, Suriya will make a cameo appearance in the Hindi remake of his own film "Soorarai Pottru," with Akshay Kumar taking on the lead role, which is slated for a theatrical release on September 1.
