Amaran Trailer: Sivakarthikeyan Brings Major Mukund Varadarajan’s Heroic Story to the Big Screen

The trailer for Amaran, a biographical action-war drama directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, has been released. Sivakarthikeyan stars as Major Mukund Varadarajan, portraying the life and sacrifice of the decorated soldier who led the Indian Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company.

The film honors Major Mukund's heroism, who was martyred during a battle with militants in Shopian, Kashmir, in April 2014, and posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra.

Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, Amaran also features Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose in key roles, with much of the film shot in the stunning valleys of Kashmir.

Adapted from India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, the trailer showcases gripping battle sequences, accompanied by music from GV Prakash Kumar and breathtaking cinematography by CH Sai.

Following Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan is set to collaborate with AR Murugadoss for his next project, tentatively titled SK23. Amaran is set for a Diwali 2024 release on October 31.
