Ajith's Viswasam sets a new record, becomes No 1 Twitter trend in the first half of 2019

Ajith Kumar is currently basking in the success of his recently released film, Nerkonda Paarvai. The film, which is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Pink opened to a massive response by the audience and critics and is minting huge at the box office. Meanwhile, Ajith's Viswasam, which released earlier this year during Pongal has set a new record. Viswasam continues to set a new record even eight months post the film's release. As per an analysis shared by Twitter, Thala Ajith's Viswasam becomes the most trending hashtag in the first half of 2019.

Viswasam grabs number 1 spot followed by Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Cricket World Cup 2019, Mahesh Babu's Maharshi and New Profile Pic. Now, this is something very huge and the celebration among Thala Ajith fans has begun. Ajith's Viswasam released in January along with Rajinikanth's Petta. Both the films managed to enter Rs 100 club at the box office. In fact, the actor has set a new record of being the first Tamil star who has achieved a cumulative gross of Rs 200 crores in the same year. Ramesh Bala tweeted, "#Thala #Ajith becomes the 1st Tamil Movie Star to achieve a cumulative gross of ₹ 200 Crs in a single calendar year in TN.. #Viswasam and #NerkondaPaarvai in 2019.. #ThalaAjith1stStar200CrsinTN."
