In a development that has left fans of Tamil cinema icon Ajith saddened, Lyca Productions announced the postponement of his much-anticipated film, Vidaamuyarchi. The action thriller, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, was initially set to hit cinemas during the festive Pongal season.

The production house confirmed the news late Tuesday night via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, citing "unavoidable circumstances" for the delay. While fans eagerly await the release, the makers assured that the final experience would justify the extended wait. However, they have not disclosed a revised release date.

Vidaamuyarchi boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, and Bigg Boss Tamil star Arav in pivotal roles. With music composed by the celebrated Anirudh Ravichander, the film's first single, "Sawadeeka," has already become a chart-topping hit.
