Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan will star in 'Vikram Vedha' remake.
Reports suggest that Aamir will play Vijay Sethupathy's character and Saif will play Madhavan's character.
Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan have been roped in to star in the Hindi remake of Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Vikram Vedha, a neo-noir thriller which was one of the most successful Tamil films of 2017.
According to a report in Filmfare, while Aamir will be essaying Vijay Sethupathi’s gangster character, Saif will replace Madhavan as the honest cop. While the remake would be helmed by the husband-wife duo Pushkar-Gayathri, who had directed the original, the film will go on floors by March 2020. Last year, it was announced that the Hindi remake will be produced by Y NOT Studios and Plan C Studios, which is a collaboration of Reliance Entertainment and Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Filmworks.
Vikram Vedha, released in 2017, turned out to be a hit at the box office. The film starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Shraddha Srinath playing the female leads. An action entertainer, Vikram Vedha has been written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri and produced by S Sashikanth under his banner Y NOT Studios. The film was based on the legends of Vikram Betaal or Vikram Vedalam.
Both Aamir and Saif are reuniting after 18 years. Their last film together was cult-film Dil Chahta Hai. Interestingly, Saif debuted from the 1992 film Parampara, co-starring Aamir.
