Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan turns 66

Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan is turning 66 today ( 30 January), and wishes are pouring in from all quarters. Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal, who is the dearest friend of Priyadarshan, has extended wishes on the special occasion.

Priyadarshan has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many superstars in Indian cinema including Mohanlal, Nedumudi Venu, KPAC Lalitha, Revathi, Shobana, Jagathy Sreekumar, Lissy, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Kareena Kapoor among others.

Priyadarshan has given Mohanlal some of the all-time best films in his career. Their rapport goes way back, even before films happened. Mohanlal and Priyadarshan were friends in college, and first collaborated for 'Thiranottam', in which the former acted, and the latter was an assistant director.

Some of their best works together include 'Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu', 'Vellanakalude Nadu', 'Chithram', 'Vandanam', 'Kilukkam', 'Mithunam', 'Thenmavin Kombath', 'Kalapaani', and 'Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham'.
