Prithviraj Sukumaran wrapped up filming for L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer

The highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer, L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, has completed its filming. The final shot was taken at the Malampuzha reservoir, and the movie is slated for a theatrical release on March 27, 2025.
Prithviraj shared the update with a heartfelt post celebrating the conclusion of the 14-month-long shoot, which spanned 8 states and 4 countries, including the UK, USA, and UAE. Along with a new poster, he assured fans of a massive action-packed entertainer.
Mohanlal also expressed gratitude to the team and fans through a tweet, highlighting the visionary storytelling of Murali Gopy, the creative direction of Prithviraj, and the unwavering support of producer Antony Perumbavoor and Lyca Productions. He emphasized the collaborative effort of the entire cast and crew in bringing this ambitious project to life.
The film features an ensemble cast including Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shine Tom Chacko, and Arjun Das. As a sequel to the blockbuster Lucifer, the expectations are sky-high, with fans anticipating an even grander narrative and visual spectacle.
Apart from Empuraan, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, the fantasy film Barroz, further solidifying his legacy in Indian cinema.
