Nayanthara-Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Gold’will be hitting the big screens on December 1

The makers announced the release date via social media posting a quirky note. The note translates to, “We have only seen twists in films, now there are twists for a film release. For the audience who have been waiting, Gold is coming to theatres on December 1. Don't give more twists on the release date, God. For God's sake!”

The makers had launched the first look poster and a teaser from the film earlier. The teaser revealed that Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the role of Joshi S, while Nayanthara will be seen as Sumangali Unnikrishnan in the film. Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing the lead roles, while actors Ajmal Amir, Lalu Alex, Mallika Sukumaran, Shammi Thilakan, and Baburaj will be seen in some pivotal roles in the film.

Director Alphonse Puthren is also handling the writing, editing, stunts, VFX, and animation for the film. Anend C Chandran and Viswajith Odukkathil have captured the visuals for the film. Rajesh Murugesan has composed the music and Shabareesh Varma has penned the lyrics for 'Gold'.
