Mohanlal's ‘Marakkar: Arabikdaalinte Simham’ directed by Priyadarshan will be released in theatres on Dec. 2
In a major relief for moviegoers in Kerala, Mohanlal's much-anticipated movie ‘Marakkar: Arabikdaalinte Simham’ directed by Priyadarshan will be released in theatres on December 2.
Earlier, Producer Antony Perumbavoor stated that the film will only be released on OTT platforms following the failure of discussions with film theatre owners. Minister stated that Antony Perumbavoor opted to release the movie through the OTT platform after suffering from the huge financial crisis filming Marakkar. However, he has made a big compromise considering the survival ofMalayalam cinema and the need to sustain the lives of tens of thousands of people working in the film industry, the minister added.
Earlier, a preview of the film was held in Chennai for a selected audience. Following the screening, the aaudience suggested that the movie is apt for a theatrical release. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 2 as the theatres in the state are likely to resume operations with 100 per cent seating capacity from December.
