Maamangam: Mega Star Mammootty in never-seen-before avatar for Vanitha cover stuns fans.

Mammootty’s Maamangam was to have hit the marquee on November 21 but was postponed to December 12 due to a delay in VFX works. The film is currently in the last leg of post-production. While expectations are high on it, a pic from Maamangam, featuring Mammootty made it to the popular Malayalam magazine Vanitha recently. The megastar is seen in a never-seen-before avatar in it which has raised the expectations several notches up. Mammootty, sporting long locks of hair adorned with large ear studs and bindi, has created a sense of curiosity among his fans.

Reports are that Maamangam will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu besides Malayalam. Recently, Unni Mukundan had revealed that he has dubbed for his portions for the Hindi version with his own voice as he is proficient in the language.

Besides Mammootty and Unni Mukundan, it also has Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Tarun Raj Arora, Prachi Tehlan, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna, Manikuttan and Siddique playing important roles.

Maamangam began its production with debut director Sajeev Pillai wielding the megaphone. But due to creative differences with the producers, noted filmmaker M Padma Kumar was brought in by the filmmakers. The film has Ganesh Rajavelu aka Jim Ganesh wielding the camera, M Jayachandran scoring the music, Sreekar Prasad in charge of the editing, and Kaecha Khamphakdee choreographing the stunts. Maamangam is being bankrolled by Venu Kunnampilly under the banner Kavya Films.
