Kasargold,’ Starring Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne, Set to Stream on OTT Platform on this Date

'Kasargold,' starring Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles, is scheduled to debut on a prominent OTT platform this week. Directed by Mridul Nair, the film is a heist thriller that follows the story of two characters, Alby and Faizal, who steal a fortune in gold and must outwit a relentless gang determined to recover it.

Set in Northern Kerala, the film is backed by Yoodle Films, marking their third venture in the Malayalam film industry. They previously produced Nivin Pauly's 'Padavettu' and partnered with Asif Ali on 'Kaapa.' 'Kasargold' is the second directorial effort of actor-turned-director Mridul Nair, with his debut film 'B-Tech' also starring Asif Ali in the lead role.

Mridul had previously explained his choice of casting Asif Ali in the film, stating, "When conceiving a story, I aim for the protagonist to be someone the audience can connect with. This is why I thought of Asif, as he infuses authenticity into every performance." Mridul Nair co-authored the script with Sajimon. 'Kasargold,' which also includes a prominent role for Vinayakan, will be available for streaming on Netflix starting October 13.
