The film has all the cliche trope of a mass entertainer which includes a rouge villain, gravity questioning action scenes and punch dialogues.

But the interesting thing is the female lead Samyuktha Menon is the antagonist of the film.

Though this is not the first time that Tovino is donning the Kakhi, He has earlier played a cop in the Prithviraj starrer Ezra, in a cameo appearance.

Kalki is directed by Praveen Prabharam who has also penned the script along with Sujin Sujathan. Handling the cinematography for this film is Gautham Sankar and Jakes Bejoy is composing the music. Kalki is bankrolled by Suvin K Krishna and Prasobh Krishna under the banner Little Big Films.

Tovino Thomas is the current heartthrob of the Malayalam industry as his several films have been released this year with the audience giving thumbs to all of them including And The Oskar Goes To.., Luca and Virus.
