Jayasurya To Play Evergreen Actor Sathyan

Actor Jayasurya, who recently won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for essaying the role of football player V.P Sathyan, and playing the transwoman character in Njan Marykutty, has signed a biopic.

Known for experimenting different kind of roles and looks, Jayasurya will be next playing legendary Malayalam actor Sathyan in an upcoming biopic. Produced by Vijay Babu's Friday Film House, the movie will feature the evergreen star's life from birth to death.

Actor Sathyan, fondly known as Sathyan master, has acted in over 150 films in Malayalam and is known for his versatility and natural style of acting. The two times state award winning actor made his acting debut with the 1952 film 'Athmasakhi'. His best works include, Neelakkuyil, Chemmeen, Odayil Ninnu, Anubhavangal Paalichakal, Adimakal, among many.
