Hey Jude Movie Review: A Romantic Love Story Between Two Oddballs Shown At Its Musical Best
Hey Jude, starring Trisha Krishnan and Nivin Pauly, is an emotional film which conveys an important message in a fine manner.
Director Shyamaprasad’s Hey Jude, is about a 28-year-old guy (Nivin Pauly) suffering from Asperger Syndrome, how his perspectives are changed by a girl (Trisha) who he meets during his stay in Goa. The film portrays the budding friendship between the two beautifully. The Plot: Jude (Nivin Pauly) is the elder son of Mr. Dominic (Sidhique), a greedy man, who sells antiques in Cochin. Jude suffers from Asperger Syndrome due to which he is poor in socialising with people. He is strict about his routine and diet and no one in his family has managed to understand him. When his aunt Olivia dies, Dominic with his son and wife decide to go to Goa to attend the funeral. This is where Jude meets Crystal(Trisha), a young girl who is part of a band and runs a shack on the beach. Hey Jude is about how Crys influences Jude in changing his perspective and the way he looks at the world. Nivin Pauly has done a tremendous job in portraying the character of Jude. Trisha, who makes her Malayalam debut looks beautiful and makes us laud her memorable performance. Director Shyamaprasad is successful in making other characters equally appealing. Actors like Sidhique, Vijay Menon and Neena Kurup have also performed very well.
