Dulquer Salmaan's 'King of Kotha' eyes stellar opening collections at KBO

"King Of Kotha," starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by debutant Abhilash Joshiy, has made its way to the cinemas. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Dulquer Salmaan's home production banner Wayfarer Films.
It's described as a gangster drama with a mix of emotions, romance, and comedy. Dulquer Salmaan takes on the lead role, and the ensemble cast includes Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dancing Rose Shabeer, Gokul Suresh, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, Vada Chennai Saran, and Anikha Surendran, among others.
This film is being regarded as a significant milestone in Dulquer Salmaan's career. He has even confirmed that it's the most expensive film he's been a part of, indicating that a lot is riding on its success. The film has received a U/A certification and has a runtime of 175.58 minutes.
Set in the 1990s in the fictional town of Kotha, the story revolves around themes of revenge and redemption. "King Of Kotha" includes well-choreographed action sequences by Rajasekhar and Mahesh Mathew.
The film had a special Dubai premiere on August 23 at 10:30 pm, and there were also early morning screenings in the US and Canada at 4:30 am. The general release date for the film is Thursday, August 30.
