Director Venu’s last film Munnariyippu was a mystery thriller film starring Mammootty and Aparna Gopinath in the lead roles.
Director Venu shows magic again with Carbon, a movie with incredible message communicated to the audience in a realistic fashion. Fahadh Faasil’s performance is brilliant and captures by cinematographer K U Mohanan is spectacular and refreshing. The Plot: Siby played by Fahadh Fassil is a shortcut seeker in life. He is obsessed in life to make it big in short time. He can do anything ranging from selling precious gems and barn owl to get money. Siby gets an assignment from a businessman played by Vijayaraghavan to go to a palace in the middle of a forest and reestablish it as a tourist hub. The plot gets exciting when he is told about the treasure hidden by a king in the forest. The rest of the film is about his journey to find that treasure which is guarded by an army of ancient soldiers. The film depicts the transformation of Fahadh’s character from being a person obsessed to make money to a person who is desperate for survival.
