Mohanlal’s much-anticipated directorial debut, Barroz 3D: Guardian of Treasure, is finally set to release on December 25, 2024, after several delays.
The film, a children’s fantasy adventure, has been eagerly awaited, with fans excited about its unique premise and stunning visuals.
The recently unveiled 123-second trailer showcases the richly imagined world of Barroz, a ghostly guardian of a centuries-old treasure, who forms a touching bond with children while fiercely defending the treasure. The trailer, noted for its exceptional visual effects and production design, hints at a high-stakes battle between good and evil, with Mohanlal bringing Barroz to life in a charismatic and powerful performance.
The film’s release date holds emotional significance for Mohanlal, as December 25 marks the anniversary of his debut in Manjil Virinja Pookkal (1980). Director Fazil, who introduced Mohanlal to cinema, reflected on the actor’s journey and connection to this date, which is also linked to another milestone, the release of Manichitrathazhu (1993).
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas and featuring Santosh Sivan as the director of photography, Barroz promises a visual treat.
