Challenging Star Darshan’s next, Yajamana, produced by Media House, is not only his first release in more than a year but also marks the directorial debut of music man V Harikrishna. Movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Tanya Hope, Devaraj, Ravishankar, Dhananjay, Thakoor Anoop Singh, Sadhu Kokila, H. G. Dattatreya, Mandya Ramesh in pivotal roles.

There is no doubt that Yajamana will include all the factors one would look forward to in a family entertainer. The film is going to be power-packed with interesting dialogues, impressive music, heart-warming emotions and fighting sequences. Two of the dialogues from Yajamana's trailer have already gone viral.

As soon the trailer begins, Darshan is heard saying,

Holding my head high in the sky, with my sweat dripping to the Earth... Built with ideals and integrity...This is my own brand! The sound is always loud.

and at the end of the trailer

Hey Cadburys! Tusker's trail becomes the path. I am coming! If you have guts, stop me.rumorsindutrybroke

Is He Targeting Kichha? For the uninitiated, rumours were making rounds that Sudeep took credit for Darshan's success in the film indutry, which ticked the latter off. And then Darshan unfollowed Sudeep on Twitter. In the first dialogue that has broke the internet, Darshan specifically says that he has created his own brand with his effort, ideals and integrity. Is he targeting Kiccha with these words?

Yajamana, which releases on March 1 across over 350 centres in the state, is the result of Harikrishna’s long-standing relationship with the actor, the story of which was written “for Darshan”. Harikrishna is one of the most popular composers in Sandalwood, so one wonders what prompted him to take up filmmaking?

“When I came to the industry, I wanted to be a director. But fate had other plans for me and I ended up in music. In my years in the Kannada film industry, I have worked closely with stalwarts like Hamsalekha and V Ravichandran, which helped me understand the language of films better. Over the years, my interest in turning director had begun to wane. But when the story of Yajamana came up, which I have co-written, I knew that I had to take the next step,” says the composer-filmmaker.

The film, he adds, will be treat for Darshan fans, as the actor will be in his element, in a story that has romance, action and family sentiments, apart from a message for society.

Also, there is a lot of expectation from Yajamana in terms of it boosting Darshan's career. Though his movies in the recent past performed extremely well in the first week, they eventually failed to do well at the box office. Fans are hoping for a boost in D Boss' career with Yajamana.
