'Vikrant Rona' made it to Oscars contention list

Apart from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara, Sudeep-starrer Vikrant Rona has also made it to the Oscars’ contention list in the best picture category. Director Anup Bhandari couldn’t be happier. His 2016 directorial debut, Rangitaranga, too, had made it to the contention list.
“Oscars is the biggest award on the planet and to be shortlisted for it itself is an honour. I am, of course, feeling great about it. More than everything, it feels good when efforts are recognised, especially the effort we put into films, both from writing and entertainment perspective. Everybody who was part of the film have given so much to it and I think they all deserve it.” said Anup Bhandari.
