Upendra’s UI Trailer Unveils a Dystopian Future

Kannada cinema legend Upendra has returned to direction with the much-anticipated pan-Indian film UI. The trailer, unveiled on December 2, 2024, teases a thought-provoking narrative about humanity's struggles in a dystopian future.
Directed by Upendra and co-produced by KP Sreekanth and G Manoharan under Venus Entertainment and Lahari Films LLP, UI is set to release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam on December 20, 2024.
The two-minute trailer portrays a chilling vision of the future, exploring themes like global warming, inflation, artificial intelligence, COVID-19 aftermath, and warfare. Upendra, who seems to play a power-driven authoritarian, keeps much of the storyline under wraps, leaving audiences intrigued.

Made on an extravagant budget, UI boasts state-of-the-art VFX, a result of two years of meticulous production. The film’s music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, with cinematography by H.C. Venu and editing by Vijay Raj BG.
Set for a high-stakes box office clash with Sudeep’s Max on December 25, UI promises to deliver a cinematic spectacle with its innovative storytelling and grand visuals. Fans are eagerly awaiting Upendra’s visionary take on pressing global issues through this ambitious project.
