The response to Shivaji Surathkal gave us the confidence to go ahead with part 2 which focuses on a fresh case that involves traveling across Karnataka and exploring the state’s geography. Having done two back-to-back thrillers, it feels like my forte now,” says Akash.

“A husband-wife, father-son, and father-daughter relationship blends with psychological thriller elements. In the climax, we have interlinked all these different stories which fall in place. Solving a case gets the audience active as they don their thinking caps – such is the gravity of this case. The movie is designed keeping in mind the theatrical experience – sound and visuals, which must be experienced in the cinema halls,” states the director. Akash was also clear about the ensemble cast. “While writing, I had clarity on the relevance of each character. The real challenge was during edit when I had to cut down due to onscreen constraints,” he adds.

“We have great chemistry, and most of the time on sets, we often share the same thoughts which makes the work much easier. Nothing has changed since the last time I worked with him. Ramesh Aravind is always a fantastic actor to work with,” he wraps up. The film hits the big screen today
