After multiple delays, Sharan’s much-awaited film Choo Mantar is finally set to release on January 10, 2025, during the Sankranti festival. Directed by Navneeth of Karvva fame, the film was initially planned for April 2024 but faced indefinite postponements until now.
Releasing alongside major titles like Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Sarkaar Sitharam, Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vastunnam, and Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly, Choo Mantar will face stiff competition. Among these, Game Changer is expected to dominate screens in Karnataka.
A newly released teaser introduces viewers to Choo Mantar’s eerie world of Satan, with Prabhu Mundkur and Meghana Gaonkar playing a couple seeking help from Sharan’s character, Dynamo, a Catholic priest specializing in exorcism. Sharan earlier stated that while exorcism is not new to Indian cinema, the film offers a fresh perspective by focusing on its portrayal through the Catholic Church, promising a unique cinematic experience for audiences.
