Sequel to 1984 classic hit "Bandhana" to star Aditya

Kannada film Bandhana in 1984 was a milestone in the late actor Vishnuvardhan’s career. In this film, Vishnuvardhan played the role of Harish, a character who meets his end after saving Nandini’s (played by Suhasini) daughter. Directed by Rajendra Singh Babu, the film also starred Jai Jagadish.

Director Rajendra Singh Babu has now announced the film’s sequel, to be called Bandhana 2, which will star his son Adithya in the lead role. “ Bandhana changed the course of Vishnuvardhan’s career. The sequel will bring back memories of Vishnuvardhan. The story will now be carried forward, with Suhasini and Jai Jagadish continuing to portray their original characters. "We are working on an interesting look for Adithya, which will be revealed soon. I do understand that a sequel to a film like this will have high expectations. I believe that the story we have worked on will meet these expectations,” explains the director.
