After capturing hearts with the blockbuster Ayogya in 2019, Sathish Ninasam and Rachita Ram are set to reunite for its much-anticipated sequel, Ayogya 2. The film was launched on Wednesday with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the start of its shoot.
Directed by Mahesh Kumar and produced by Mune Gowda under the SVC Productions banner, the sequel aims to recapture the charm of its predecessor. The launch event featured Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar sounding the clapboard, while stars like Nenapirali Prem, Shreyas Manju, and Pramod attended to extend their support. The makers also unveiled the film’s first look, amplifying fan excitement.
Director Mahesh Kumar revealed that Ayogya 2 will be shot simultaneously in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, distinguishing it from the original, which was dubbed post-release. He playfully dubbed it a "fan-India" film rather than a pan-India one, emphasizing its wide appeal.
Sathish Ninasam expressed his enthusiasm, praising producer Mune Gowda and hinting that the film would be a milestone for Kannada cinema. Rachita Ram fondly reminisced about the original’s success, especially the unforgettable “Yenammi Yenammi” song, which she said was irreplaceable. She described her dynamic with Sathish as a "Tom and Jerry" relationship and thanked Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for her blessings.
The film brings back several original cast members, including Sundar Raj, Tabla Nani, and Shivraj KR Pete, along with new additions like Manju Pavagada. With dialogues by Masti, cinematography by Vishwajit Rao, and music by Arjun Janya, Ayogya 2 has high expectations to meet, especially given the iconic status of the first film’s soundtrack.
The team will commence filming in Mandya, with the release slated for next year. Fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel, which promises to deliver another dose of love, laughter, and drama.
