It seems that a new film titled "Tipu" aims to reveal the "dark side" of Tipu Sultan, the famous ruler of Mysore who is often portrayed as a hero in Indian history textbooks. The film, which is being backed by Eros International, Rashmi Sharma Films and Sandeep Singh, will be directed by Pawan Sharma and researched and developed by author Rajat Sethi. According to reports, the film will showcase the "brutal reality" of Tipu's rule, including his forced conversion of people from other religions to Islam and destruction of temples and churches. The film will be released in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
