The much-awaited Rakshit Shetty starrer film '777 Charlie' has taken a big leap towards release as the film passes the censor board with a U/A certificate.
Centered around the lives of the protagonist, Dharma (played by Rakshit), and his pet pal labrador Charlie, '777 Charlie' is a comedy-drama that also features elements of a road movie. Sangeetha Srinigeri, Danish Sait, Raj B. Shetty, and Bobby Simha play key roles in the film while Kiranraj K makes his debut as a director.
After clearing censors one can expect the team to gear up for a bonafide, and much-delayed, theatrical release. '777 Charlie' was earlier slated to release a pan-Indian film on the 31st of December (2021) which was eventually pushed to a future date due to a number of factors. The team is yet to announce the new release date.
However, the pre-release chatter about the film has been quite positive so far with many keenly looking forward to watching the one-of-a-kind man-animal bonding movie on the big screen. Director Kiranraj K & Co. is said to have spent close to five years in the making of the film which shall be released across four other languages, along with the Kannada original.
Rakshit Shetty also serves as the producer of the film under his home banner of Paramvah Studios. Nobin Paul has scored the music and the team recently came out with a special Goan Konkani track titled O'Ga that features popular rapper and Thaikkudam Bridge bassist Vian Fernandes in a special appearance.
