Back in 2018, Rakshit and Rishab Shetty registered the title Kirik Party 2. Two years later, the duo has finally found a plot to develop into a story. It is said that Rishab Shetty, who had helmed the prequel, will also be directing the second installment of the franchise.
Kirik Party follows the story of Karna, a mischevious student from college who falls in love with his senior. However, his life changes course when tragedy strikes him. How the incident changes his life and how he mends his life after that forms the rest of the story.
The film features Rakshit Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Samyuktha Hegde and Achyuth Kumar in the lead roles. Kirik Party is one of the highest-grossing films and even ran for record 250 days in theatres across Karnataka.
