Raj B Shetty’s film for Sandalwood Queen Ramya’s production house,'Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye' , is set to release in theatres on November 24.

"Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye" holds the distinction of being Kannada actress Ramya's debut venture as a producer. Directed by Raj B Shetty, who also plays the lead role, the film has been waiting for its release for a year. The decision to opt for a theatrical release on November 24, despite the initial plan for an OTT release, reflects the evolving dynamics of the film industry and the current preference for theatrical releases before online platforms. Fans and audiences will likely be anticipating the film's release and the on-screen debut of Ramya as a producer.

To be released by KRG Studios in Karnataka, Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye was recently censored and was certified clean U. The film has a sub-two hour run-time, clocking 1 hour and 41 minutes run-time only. Also starring Siri Ravikumar in the lead, Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye unfolds at a hospice for the terminally ill, where she is a therapist called Prerana, whose job it is to prepare those in their end stages to come to terms with their prognosis and make the transition as easy as possible. When she then encounters a new patient, Aniketh, who chooses against having counselling in his last days, she makes it a point to change his views on that. The impact that Aniketh and Prerana have on each other and the beautiful albeit short-lived relationship that blossoms form the crux of the film.

Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye was initially meant to be Ramya’s comeback film, but she later chose against playing the character of Prerana, as she felt that it was a role that was better suited for a relatively newer face. The film also stars Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Sandhya Arekere, both of whom were in Raj’s last film, Toby, as well. Midhun Mukundan fills in as music director, his fourth project with Raj, while Pravin Shriyan is credited as cinematographer.
