Kannada actress Rachita Ram has been generating excitement in the entertainment industry with her upcoming movie "Matinee." The film has caught the attention of Kannada audiences with its captivating soundtrack and intriguing first posters.
Directed by debutant director Manohar Kaampalli, "Matinee" stars Rachita Ram, Sathish Ninasam, and Aditi Prabhudeva in lead roles.
The makers recently unveiled the trailer of the film, further amplifying the buzz surrounding it. Kannada star Darshan launched the trailer at an event held at Mantri Mall in Malleshwaram on March 27, with Dhali Dhananjay and Darshan gracing the event as chief guests. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 5.
"Matinee" marks the reunion of Rachita Ram and Sathish Ninasam on-screen after six years, following their last collaboration in S Mahesh Kumar’s directorial debut, "Ayogya." The trailer hints at a suspenseful and horror-filled narrative, with glimpses of Rachita Ram in a devilish avatar and Sathish Ninasam portraying a character with a constant expression of fear. Aditi Prabhudeva is also seen playing a prominent role in the film.
The trailer, spanning over two minutes, begins with Sathish's character hearing ghost stories from his friends, while flashbacks of Rachita Ram's character falling down the stairs add to the intrigue. As the trailer progresses, it intensifies with Rachita Ram's character disappearing, sightings of ghosts, and eerie visuals such as her tilted frame on the wall. These elements suggest that "Matinee" promises to deliver a thrilling and suspenseful cinematic experience for audiences.
