National Film Awards 2019 announced: KGF (Chapter 1) bags National Film Award for Best Action Film.

The 66th National Film awards were announced by Rahul Rawail, head of the Jury for feature films, on Friday.

Yash's KGF (Chapter 1) is considered as the best film came out of Kannada Cinema last year and the film is trending again for good reasons.

The film has garnered National Award for Best Action film. It has also garnered best special effects award sharing with the Telugu film Awe.

The 66th National Film awards were announced by Rahul Rawail, head of the Jury for feature films, on Friday.

KGF released last year turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of Kannada film which earned 250 million worldwide. The film was appreciated all over India for its acting, story, direction, and cinematography. And the action sequences gave an adrenaline rush to the audience.

The shooting of the second installment KGF: Chapter 2 started this year and rumors popped up that makers have cast Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in the film.

KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2 have been directed by Prashanth Neel, who has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues. Vijay Kiragandur produced the project under his banner Hombale Films. The film has Yash playing the lead role and paired up opposite him is Srinidhi Shetty.

The technical team comprises of music director Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, and art director Shivakumar. While Yash and Srinidhi Shetty play the lead pair in it, the star cast also includes Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha. The action scenes were choreographed by Jani Shaik, Anabariv, Mohan and Vikram.
