M.G. Srinivas's Old Monk' will hit the big screen on the 11th of February, 2022

Citing an influx of releases in the coming weeks, the team had deemed the month of February to be ideal for their comedy-drama to come out and was to announce the exact release date shortly. Now M.G. Srinivas took to social media to reveal that 'Old Monk' will hit the big screen on the 11th of February, 2022.

The actor-director had previously stated in an exclusive chat with ETimes Kannada that the makers (of 'Old Monk') were wary of the release of the Telugu film 'Acharya' (starring Chiranjeevi) and planned the release of their film around that. 'Acharya', tentatively, will come out in cinema halls on the 4th of February.

With the release date of 'Old Monk' finally announced, one can look forward to an exciting valentine's weekend as the same Friday also sees Darling Krishna's 'Love Mocktail 2' coming out. Both being bonafide commercial entertainers and the mighty 'Vikrant Rona' releasing on February 24th, it's a season to savor for all the Kannada moviegoers.

'Old Monk' stars M.G. Srinivas and Aditi Prabhudeva in the lead with Pradeep Sharma, Srujan Yarabolu, Saurabh-Vaibhav, and Srinivas himself serving as the producers. Saurabh and Vaibhav are also the film's music composers and Bharath Parashuram handles the cinematography, Deepu S. Kumar as the editor.
