Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep is set to reunite with director Anup Bhandari for their next ambitious project, Billa Ranga Baasha. This collaboration follows the success of their previous film, Vikrant Rona. Produced by the team behind Hanuman, Billa Ranga Baasha is anticipated to be a grand cinematic venture.
The excitement for the film was heightened with the release of its official logo and a captivating concept video on Kichcha Sudeep’s birthday. The concept video provides a glimpse into the film’s dystopian future, set in the year 2209 AD. It features iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, and Taj Mahal in ruins, suggesting a world devastated by conflict and power struggles. The visual narrative hints at a world controlled by a single powerful figure and introduces three distinct regions, each with its own unique climate, adding depth to the story.
Director Anup Bhandari expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating, “Niranjan Reddy wanted to collaborate with me after Vikrant Rona, and we first met during the post-production of Hanuman. When I narrated the premise of Billa Ranga Baasha and the world it’s set in, he was thrilled. They were looking for a grand-scale project, and this film was the perfect fit. Working with Sudeep sir is always a great experience. People loved Vikrant Rona, and I’m confident they’ll love this even more. Sudeep sir calling this his biggest film is a huge compliment and also a bigger responsibility, which I’m excited to shoulder.”
