The upcoming film promises a visual masterpiece, meticulously recreating the historic Kadamba Empire in Kundapur. With detailed architecture and lifelike surroundings, the set aims to immerse viewers in an era filled with valor, culture, and mystique. Directed and written by Rishab Shetty, the film continues the legacy of Kantara, which became a monumental success in 2022.

The original film, shot in Keradi, coastal Karnataka, starred Rishab Shetty in dual roles and was produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. It garnered widespread acclaim and became the second-highest-grossing Kannada film after K.G.F: Chapter 2. It also won numerous accolades, including the Silver Peacock at IFFI and Best Actor at the National Film Awards.

For the prequel, Rishab Shetty has trained rigorously in Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest martial arts. The film is set to further explore the richness of Konkan folklore, captivating audiences once again.
