The upcoming Kannada film Jalandhara is an intriguing narrative deeply rooted in the folk tales of the Kanakapura region, brought to life by Step Up Loki and director Pramod Shetty. Inspired by stories of water-related folklore shared by Loki's grandmother, the film delves into themes of life, death, and the unexpected perils surrounding water.

Initially struggling to find a producer, the team, led by Pramod Shetty, decided to self-produce the film. Eventually, Madan came on board as the main producer, along with co-producers Chandramohan CL, Ramesh Ramachandra, and Padmanabhan Mangudoddy. This collaboration turned the vision into reality, with Vishnu V. Prasanna directing the project.

Director Vishnu V. Prasanna emphasizes that Jalandhara seeks to raise awareness about the value of life and the unpredictability of death, especially concerning water-related accidents. The film integrates elements of Kanakapura’s folk art, aiming to resonate with the local culture.

Lyrics by Manvarshi Navalagunda aim to capture the story's emotional essence, as showcased in the film's recently released song.

In 'Jalandhara' Pramod Shetty plays a serious role as a police officer. Rishika Raj, known for her work in Tagaru, stars alongside Shetty.

Arohita Gowda shares insights about her role, adding depth to the narrative. The supporting Cast includes Bala Rajawadi, Naveen Sagar, Pratap Nanasu, and others.

Set for release on 29th November 2024, Jalandhara promises a unique underwater narrative, blending storytelling with a social message. With Rashmit Kumar as the executive producer and a strong creative team, the film is expected to make an impact both visually and emotionally.
