Gururaj Kulkarni Nadagoud's Amruth Apartments is being released on November 26
Amruth Apartments, a family thriller directed by debutant filmmaker Gururaj Kulkarni Nadagoud, is being released on November 26.
Bengaluru is a melting pot not just of people from different parts of Karnataka, India and the world, but it is also a happy blend of the traditional and the modern. This is the backdrop of the film.
Gururaj says, “In modern Bengaluru, couples lead lives that require them to choose between the modern and the traditional and their dynamics are such that they live in nuclear families without the support system that used to exist earlier. A couple living life in such a manner and on the verge of separation based on their differences, is faced with a bigger problem when they are part of a police investigation. This forms the basis of Amruth Apartments.”
Gururaj has ensured that the thriller can be watched by everyone. “When we have thrillers, there is usually some content that might make one cringe or it is too bold to take kids or elders along. I have ensured an edge-of-the-seat thriller that can be watched by the entire family as it does not have smoking, drinking, expletives or any lewd content,” says Gururaj, who has worked in an IT MNC before and has produced two films – Accident, directed by Ramesh Aravind, and Last Bus, directed by SD Arvinda.
Amruth Apartments stars Tarak Ponnappa and Urvashi HV in lead roles, while Balaji Manohar, Manasa Joshi, Sampath and Seetha Kote essay pivotal roles.
