‘Girmit’ Movie Trailer: An out-of-the box concept of casting children in a mass entertainer.

The children’s film, directed by Ravi Basrur, will have about 280 child artistes playing different roles.
We know the elements of mass cinema which has certain stereotypes. Introduction scene, mass bgm and goons flying on the air while hero walks on slow motion.
These clichés are tried and tested in Indian cinema but when these scenes are done by children it becomes an out-of-the-box concept.

Girmit is one of its kind film where the hero and the supporting cast are children.
Puneeth Rajkumar is presenting Ravi Basrur’s children’s film Girmit, which will be out in five languages, we hear. Titled Girmit in Kannada, the film’s title will be called Pakka Mass in Hindi and Telugu, and Podi Mass in Tamil and Malayalam.

The film, produced by NS Rajkumar, will have about 280 child artistes playing different roles and provide a unique experience for movie buffs. Also, the child artists will have a strong resemblance to the stars who will do the voiceover for their character.
Reports indicate that top actors in Sandalwood will be doing the voiceovers for this film and the list includes Yash, Radhika Pandit, Sudha Belawadi, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, Tara, Petrol Prasanna, Sadhu Kokila and others. Girmit is that Puneeth Rajkumar will be singing a song for the album.
