Ek Love Ya ducks exam season, will hit the screens on February 24
Prem-directed 'Ek Love Ya', starring Raanna, Rachita Ram, and Reeshma Nanaiah in lead roles, is being released on February 24 instead of March 4 just to facilitate college students to view the film peacefully, without being bogged down by exams.
"We are announcing the release date today with a teaser. We had originally thought of March 4 for the release, but exhibitors and theatre guys advised us to choose February 24 as March is usually when exams take place. The film is about young love, involving college-goers and our film songs are a big hit with them, so we want them to be free to watch it,” shares Prem.
The songs have been a big hit and are on the charts. The team have two more songs lined up that will release this month, along with the trailer. Prem reveals, "We are launching our theatrical trailer on February 11 in Mysuru. We are then launching a love song on Valentine's Day in Davangere. Our final song release will be on February 19 in Bengaluru. We had previous release events in Hubballi and Shivamogga. So, in a way, we tried to meet fans across the state."
The film was originally scheduled to release in January. But the night curfew, weekend curfew and the rising cases forced the team to postpone the release.
